There’s something truly special about Christmas at Rowen. The sparkle, the scents, the cosy glow - and last month, we had the joy of sharing that magic.
We hosted our first Christmas VIP event inside our Metrocentre store in the Upper Platinum Mall, welcoming an amazing group of local influencers, press and trade partners for an evening dedicated to festive styling and Christmas creativity. It felt like such a milestone moment for us, and we couldn’t wait to open our doors and share the atmosphere with our community.
Creating Festive Inspiration In Store
Guests joined us to explore our Christmas collections with fizz, festive nibbles and plenty of styling inspiration. The store was filled with our signature pieces - from plush cushion stacks and layered throws, to sparkling wreaths, and our sculptural candle holders that add an effortless glow to winter evenings.
Our team guided guests through looks built around Rowen favourites, such as our textured statement vases, our soft and cosy bouclé accents, and beautifully styled coffee table arrangements. Every corner of the store was designed to show how joyful Christmas decorating can be, whether you're elevating your dining space with festive centrepieces or refreshing your hallway.
Handcrafted Moments: Wreath-Making & Luxury Gift Wrapping
To sprinkle even more Christmas magic into the night, we hosted two hands-on workshops.
✨ Luxury Gift Wrapping with Forbes Finishings
We were delighted to partner with the lovely Aoife Forbes from local North East business, Forbes Finishings, who shared her expert wrapping techniques. Guests experimented with Rowen ribbons, luxury wrapping papers and our delicate seasonal stems, learning how to create beautifully wrapped gifts that look just as special as what’s inside.
✨ Wreath-Making with Our Lovely Sharon
Our very own Sharon, one of our talented store consultants, led a beautiful wreath-decorating session using a selection of Rowen’s winter foliage stems. Seeing each guest build a wreath that suited their personal style - from minimal and elegant to full and festive - was so great for us to see.
A Lovely Evening With Our North East Community
We were thrilled to welcome press from High Life North and Living North, along with local content creators and trade partners who brought so much warmth to the evening. There’s something incredibly special about bringing people together in the store and letting them experience Rowen in a personal, immersive way.
Many guests took home inspiration for styling our faux floral arrangements, ceramic pieces, and cosy seasonal accessories - all displayed throughout the store in curated Christmas moments.
Looking Ahead to More Magical Moments
With Christmas now in full swing in store, this event truly felt like the start of something exciting for Rowen. We’re already planning more community-focused events and in-store experiences for 2026 and beyond - and we can’t wait to welcome more of you into the store for moments just like this.
